A move to britain

In 1988 I moved to Britain, initially for an extended period of 2 years as I embarked on the near impossible task (at the time) of obtaining a work permit in the UK . I was immensely lucky that my parents agreed to look after our four Collies and hugely fortunate to be able to work at the famous Corydon kennels. In 1991, after a few months back in Norway, the move became more permanent and two dogs came over with me from Norway and went into quarantine. The Kennel Club would not allow the Norwegian registered affix 'Freelancer' to be registered in Britain, however, with the brainwave and effort of Barbara Blake in changing the spelling resulted in 'Phreelancer' being subsequently accepted in 1992, registered on the 1st April, 14 years to the day since we brought our first Collie home. The dogs below are the dogs owned by us since living in Britain.
